I was asked in a recent post comment to show my shop and some of my workflow. So here you go!
My shop is small (probably 10×8 ft), unglamorous, and usually messy, but I will say that I have recently come to appreciate the value of what I would call “shop hygiene” and workflow: I have fewer bouts of frustrated or uninspired shop time when my bench is clear from excess junk; I work more efficiently when I take some time to sweep both my bench and the floor between tasks; and thinking about strategic placement of tools so that I can easily access, use, clean, them return them to their homes (the apron also helps)—this all seriously helps the Sanctum feel more magical.
